The pattern carries the same butterflies as her Red List of British Butterflies prints, each one set among the wildflowers and grasses it feeds and breeds on, over a soft grey-green ground. Fritillaries, browns and hairstreaks are scattered through honeysuckle, rock rose, dog violet, cow wheat, blackthorn and cottongrass, so the wallpaper reads as a meadow rather than a motif repeated on a grid.
This design is not part of Lydia's standard range and is made for the project. Colourway, scale of repeat and substrate can be adjusted to the room.

Lydia Hill took a First-Class BA (Hons) in Textiles at Manchester School of Art and an MA in Textiles at the Royal College of Art in 2025. She works between London and a studio in Shropshire. Her work has shown with Creatives Wings at New Textiles in Margate, at Heimtextil New Talent and the Surface Design Show, and in The World of Interiors.
