The British butterflies that have already gone, drawn in graphite by Lydia Hill, from her Red List of British Butterflies series.

The rest of the series is painted in colour with each butterfly on its host plant. This one is worked in pencil on a flat grey ground, with no plants and no colour, and the word Gone is the only thing on the sheet printed in red.

The print is produced on museum-grade hemp paper, hand-signed on the front, with a stamped authenticity label on the back. Hemp grows quickly without heavy irrigation or pesticides, and the inks are water-based and non-toxic.
