These chandeliers are designed and fabricated by William Harris, and built out of waste glass bottles and PET plastic bottles rescued from the streets of London. Two matching chandeliers hang in the former drawing room of Kingsgate Castle—replicas or personalized commissions availble.

William trained as a glassmaker in California and came to the Royal College of Art for an MA in Design Products, where he began working with bottle glass—soda-lime, and one of the hardest glasses to rework once it has already been blown into a bottle. He took it on for that reason. His own summary of the result: "from garbage to GORGEOUS".

William opens our docuseries with Trendease International, where his chandeliers are seen hanging inside the castle: Historic Chandeliers or Modern Waste.
